The second king of the Amorite dynasty established by Iaggid-Lim in Mari, and Iaggid-Lim's son. Like his father, Iahdun-Lim (or Yahdun-Lim) devoted much time and energy to keeping Mari safe and prosperous. The new king erected new defensive walls and constructed several irrigation canals to increase agricultural output. Iahdun-Lim also raised an army and tried to expand Mari's political power and territory. One campaign took him westward to the Mediterranean coast, whereheforcedsomelocaltownstopay him tribute.
